I moved to Japan about 6 months ago, and as a newly arrived immigrant I’m always on the lookout for occasions to meet new people.

For example, I had the chance to attend a Hacker News meetup in Tokyo a couple months ago. It was a lot of fun, and I met some really interesting designers, developers, and entrepreneurs.

This is why, together with a couple of Kansai tech people, we are having a Hacker News Meetup in Kyoto on September 28, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Meetups like these are a great occasion to not only meet people with similar interest, but also show what you’re working on and get valuable feedback on it.

So if you’re in Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, anywhere else in Kansai, or even way out there near Nagano (hint, hint), you definitely shouldn’t miss it!
